Vehicle stopped for excessive speed on 402

Lambton OPP nabbed a driver going over 50 kilometres per hour over the speed limit on Highway 402 in Sarnia at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

A 37-year-old driver from Nobleton, Ontario is now charged with racing a motor vehicle.

The driver's licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.

In September, the speed limit on Highway 402 between Sarnia and London was increased to 110 km/h as part of a pilot project implemented by the provincial government.
