The LiUNA Do It For Sarnia Block Party is getting bigger.
The event, which supports mental health and addiction services at Bluewater Health, will be held over two days in June 2020.
Bluewater Health Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander said The Trews will take to the Suncor Agora stage on June 19, 2020 and Walk Off The Earth will perform on June 20th.
She said the outdoor music event is a wonderful way to bring people together to raise funds for a very important cause.
"We are very fortunate that health care, in essence, is free in our province and communities," said Alexander. "But things like capital equipment, renovations and outdoor patio spaces, those are not covered off by government funding. That's why we have a hospital foundation and that's why we rely on the community for a lot of generosity. We are always so grateful to the Sarnia-Lambton community for supporting Bluewater Health and making such a difference for people in our community."
Tickets go on sale to the general public on December 10.
Dan Edwards launched the Do It For Sarnia campaign in 2015 and reached his $150,000 goal this past summer. Those funds have been allocated for a complete renovation of the patio at the Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
