You can own Centennial Park in new Sarnia version of Monopoly

The extremely popular Monopoly board game has been reimagined to include a Sarnia twist.

Sarnia-Opoly was recently launched by Outset Media and includes local landmarks like Canatara Park, the Stones N Bones Museum, and the Imperial Theatre.

Outset Media Senior Vice President Jean Paul Teskey said the game is very unique.

"I think it's pretty cool that we can actually develop a game for communities that aren't as large as, let's say, Toronto or Montreal or Vancouver that's custom and do a small run," said Teskey. "That's really unique in this day in age where everything is mass produced. We've made these here in North America in just small, limited edition runs."

Teskey said Outset Media has an employee who grew up in Sarnia and was able to help them choose the landmarks.

Sarnia-Opoly is being sold for a limited time at Sarnia Walmart for $30 and there are about 700 copies being made available.

Other local attractions include Centennial Park, Refined Fool, Lambton Mall, the St. Clair River, and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.

Similar games are being sold in 50 other cities across Canada including Toronto, Woodstock, Windsor and St. Catharines.
