Snow squall warning ended for Sarnia-Lambton

Snow squalls east of Sarnia weakened Friday afternoon as brisk northwest winds diminished and began shifting southwesterly.

Environment Canada ended its snow squall warning for Sarnia-Lambton at 3 p.m. Friday.

Total snow accumulations in parts of north and east Lambton County ranged from 20 centimetres to 25 centimetres. London Airport recorded 27 centimetres of snow, nearly a foot.

Storm totals reached 30 centimetres to 40 centimetres in some snowbelt areas by the time the snow squalls totally dissipated Friday evening.

Motorists were reminded to adjust their driving to changing conditions.
