The Sarnia Sting are still looking for their first win of the season following an 8-5 loss to the Spitfires in Windsor, extending their winless streak to seven games.
Daniel D'Amico opened the scoring for Windsor at the 2:35 mark of the first period.
At 18:03 Ryan Roth tied the game on the power play before the Spitfires would retake the lead on a goal by Curtis Douglas with ten seconds left in the period.
Sarnia's Eric Hjorth would tie the game a minute into the second period but Windsor stormed back with goals from Dylan Robinson and Louka Henault.
The Sting's Calvin Martin scored to move Sarnia to within a goal but the Spitfires got two more goals from Thomas Stevenson and Ruben Rafkin to end the period up 6-3.
Anthony Tabak scored for Sarnia four minutes into the third period.
Windsor would reply with a goal from Egor Afanasyev.
Roth would score his second goal of the game with 90 seconds left in the game before the Spitfires' Tyler Angle would score into a empty net.
Roth, acquired from Sault Ste. Marie in a trade last week, said,"It was definitely nice to get my first goal as a Sting but we need to get a win. I thought we were close. I thought we played good but a couple of turn-overs cost us and we need to do better."
Sarnia goalie Evan Langevin allowed seven goals on 29 shots while Kari Piiroinen stopped 27 shots.
The Sting are idle until Thursday when they visit Barrie and Oshawa on Friday. Both games can be heard on 103.9 FM - 1070 AM CHOK.
