A former Sarnia high school teacher, charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a student, is to be sentenced late next month.

Legal counsel for 51-year-old Barb Organ appeared on her behalf at Sarnia courthouse Wednesday morning.

Luigi Perzia of Point Edward asked that the matter be adjourned to November 25 for guilty plea and sentencing.

Organ was arrested and charged in November of 2017 following an alleged relationship with a 17-year-old female student at the former St. Clair Secondary School, between 2011 and 2013.

The student’s name is protected by a publication ban.
