A 48-year-old Sarnia man is facing assault charges following an incident in the city's north end Saturday afternoon.
Sarnia police and Lambton EMS were called to a home in the 1100 Block of Parkland Place at around 4 p.m. for a man needing medical assistance.
Police started a criminal investigation soon after arriving on the scene.
A 37-year-old Sarnia man was taken to Bluewater Health for treatment of serious injuries. He remained in hospital in stable condition.
Kevin Fareed Bacchus was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
He was scheduled to appear in court Monday for a bail hearing.
