Stolen vehicle recovered, arrest warrant issued for suspect

Sarnia police have issued an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old man after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a friend that loaned it to him.

On September 24, police say a man let his friend borrow his 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. It was reported stolen after he didn't get it back.

On October 3 around 3:45 p.m., the owner spotted his Equinox parked at a coffee shop on Exmouth Street and decided to box it in with his 2006 Dodge Charger.

Police say when he demanded his vehicle back, the suspect reversed into his car.

An attempt by the victim to smash out the window of the Equinox with a tire iron was unsuccessful and the suspect fled the area.

Police later found the Equinox on Pontiac Court after getting a call about a disturbance.

While conducting surveillance, police say a third man entered the Equinox and tried to start it. He was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Police are looking for 36-year-old Brandon Ross Little on charges of theft over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop at scene of an accident and driving while under suspension contrary to The Highway Traffic Act.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 extension 0 or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
