Sarnia tech company hosting job fair

A Sarnia tech company is looking to hire some top-tier talent.

Leadwave Technologies is hosting a job fair Saturday in search of two to four technical workers with tier-II support abilities or higher.

Service Manager Mark Tetreault said if you have a background as an IT technician, network engineer, or network administrator, they want to talk to you.

"We're really looking forward to meeting some serious IT individuals, so if anyone in the community have friends or family who are tech-oriented, please encourage them to come on out to Saturday's job fair because we'd love to meet them," said Tetreault. "Currently we're hiring for two to four positions, but as we continue to grow we're always happy to meet new folks and keep them on file."

Tetreault said applicants can head to the job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Leadwave's Sarnia location at 175 Christina St. N.

"We always say bring your enthusiasm, of course your resume, and any given experience that you have to just really speak to the granular details of what experience you do have. So some of these folks ought to be gainfully employed and maybe thinking of making a switch, we want to entice them to come out, get to know us a little bit and be prepared to have a brief chat."

Tetreault said the company, a managed service provider, is in its 14th year of growth and currently employs 14 people.

"We're sort of an outsourced IT department serving up to 40 diverse clients throughout southwestern Ontario," he said. "Our home base is here in Sarnia, but we have an office in Chatham as, and clients as far as Windsor, London and beyond in the region."
