Award winning psychology instructor visits Sarnia

Navigating stress in the workplace can be difficult for some people.

The Sarnia-Lambton Workplace Wellness Committee is hosting a workshop.

Chair Cynthia McColeman said Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe, a multi-award winning psychology instructor, will be the guest speaker.

"She has become quite well known for her work on resiliency," said McColeman. "About why all of us want to be ok and how sometimes life is hard, and we have to learn how we can do hard things. Sometimes fear doesn't go away so we have to find a way to kind of face those fears not only in our workplaces, but also our home lives."

The workshop, at the Lambton College Event Centre, is on September 20.

This is the committee final event after it announced last month it would be folding after 10 years in the community.

The decision was made after Lambton Public Health stepped back from Workplace Wellness.
