Smiling for Noelle's Gift

This year's Smile Cookie campaign will benefit Noelle's Gift.

Starting Monday, sales from the cookies at Sarnia Tim Hortons' restaurants will benefit area youth through program's supported by Noelle's Gift.

Co-founder Nicole Paquette said since its inception, the charity has raised over $1.5 million for local kids in need.

"If a teacher notices a student in need they can just go directly to the principal if they're looking for food, shoes, eyeglasses or medication," said Paquette. "We also work with other local groups such as Rebound, Inn of the Good Shepherd, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton, Organization for Literacy and the Snacks for Summer program."

The Smile Cookies will be available for $1 at Tim Horton's restaurants until Sunday, September 22.

Last year's local cookie campaign raised over $31,000 for St. Joseph's Hospice. In Petrolia, over $4,000 was raised for the CEE Hospital Foundation.
