Sarnia engineering firms consolidate

MIG Engineering has announced an addition to its portfolio as the firm continues to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year.

President and CEO Devin Johnson said they've acquired T.W. Gray & Associates Engineering Ltd. successor Shawn Gray.

"MIG and T.W. Gray have been working together for quite some time and it just made sense," said Johnson. "Our goals are were in line. So, we hired Shawn Gray to come on as an employee."

Johnson said T.W. Gray will no longer be operating and the company's existing clients and projects will now be serviced by MIG.

"T.W. Gray was involved in a lot of development work, and subdivision work, involvement with the school board and First Nations groups in this area. It offers us an opportunity to grow further into that area, which wasn't an area of our expertise previously."

Johnson said T.W. Gray focused on municipal engineering, including site and land development, throughout Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent for almost 40 years.
