Crown, defence discussions continue in Theriault caseAugust 1, 2019 12:02pm
Discussions between Matthew Theriault’s defence counsel and the Crown continue to drag on at Sarnia courthouse.
Some 15 weeks after being charged with second degree murder, the 30-year-old Sarnia man made his latest video appearance Thursday morning and was remanded in custody for another week.
The matter was put over to August 8 for more discussion between lawyer David Stoesser and the prosecution.
Theriault is charged in connection with a violent altercation between two men April 17 on Maxwell Street near St. Vincent Street.
Jesse Mowat-Caudle, 26, was found lying on the ground with critical injuries outside a residence. He died in London hospital early the next morning.
