Crown, defence discussions continue in Theriault case

Discussions between Matthew Theriault's defence counsel and the Crown continue to drag on at Sarnia courthouse.

Some 15 weeks after being charged with second degree murder, the 30-year-old Sarnia man made his latest video appearance Thursday morning and was remanded in custody for another week.

The matter was put over to August 8 for more discussion between lawyer David Stoesser and the prosecution.

Theriault is charged in connection with a violent altercation between two men April 17 on Maxwell Street near St. Vincent Street.

Jesse Mowat-Caudle, 26, was found lying on the ground with critical injuries outside a residence. He died in London hospital early the next morning.
