Two week remand for Theriault

For the first time in 13 weeks, a Sarnia man charged with second degree murder did not receive a one-week remand.

Matthew Gerard Theriault, 30, made the latest in a long string of brief video appearances at Sarnia courthouse Thursday morning.

He had his case put over two weeks to August 1 to allow Crown response to Theriault's defence counsel, David Stoesser.

Theriault is charged in connection with a violent altercation between two men April 17 on Maxwell Street near St. Vincent Street.

Jesse Mowat-Caudle, 26, was found lying on the ground with critical injuries outside a residence. He died in London hospital early the next morning.
