County launches cultural services survey

Lambton County has launched a survey to gauge the community's attitude about area cultural services.

Corporate Cultural Officer Andrew Meyer said they want to make sure they're meeting the needs and expectations of Lambton residents.

He said they're gathering data about area libraries, museums and the art gallery in Sarnia's downtown.

"We're first launching a telephone survey of 1,000 residents, bother users and non-users of cultural services, that will be followed by an online survey," said Meyer. "We are also conducting in September six community focus group sessions, inviting some of those participants from the survey to actually participate in a bit of a deeper examination of usage and awareness of cultural services."

The short telephone is being conducted over the next two weeks.

Meyer said the online survey will be available at lambtononline.ca starting Monday until August 1.

Findings will be forward to Lambton County Council in the fall.
