Sarnia's Julia Greenshields and the Canadian womens' rugby 7's team has secured a spot at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after a 27-10 win over Ireland Saturday in Biarritz, France.
Also Saturday Canada beat Spain 22-19 and lost to Australia 27-14.
Sunday in the quarterfinals Canada beat France 12-5 before losing to New Zealand 21-12 in the semis.
Canada beat Spain 19-14 in the Bronze Medal game.
