Busy June weekend around Sarnia-Lambton

Kids Funfest is on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Clearwater Park.

There will be inflatables, face painting, games and snacks.

The event aimed to engage children in learning about healthy living also features a number of local comedy, art and cultural acts.

Admission is free.

The annual Corunna Firefighters Field Days are on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.

The fire hall opens at 8 p.m. with live music.

There's a parade Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. down Lyndoch Street followed by a BBQ, children's activities and a junior firefighter combat challenge.

The fire hall opens again at 8 p.m. for another night of live music.

The second annual Dog Festival is Saturday, June 8.

The event at Fox and Hound Canine Retreat on Michigan Line will feature off-leash play zones, a stunt dog show, Jack Russell Terrier races and a dock diving competition.

The event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, kids and dogs are free.

Proceeds benefit the Sarnia and District Humane Society.

Beachside Pride--a day-long event featuring high-energy music, vendors, games, and more-- goes Saturday, June 8 at Canatara Park.

It's on from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Canatara Beach Bandshell.

Proceeds from the all-ages event, with licensed areas, will be donated to local organizations supporting LGBTQ+ and at-risk youth.

There's a charity BBQ Saturday, June 8 for the Seaway Kiwanis Children's Animal Farm.

The event is on from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at TSC Sarnia at 1669 London Line.
