Hundreds expected for CHOK Bridge Race

Hundreds of runners are expected to take part in Sunday's YMCA-CHOK International Bridge Race.

The 42nd annual event kicks off with the big 10km race over the bridge at 8 a.m.

The 5km starts from the casino at 8:20 a.m. and the kids' 1km event is at 9:20 a.m. in Canatara Park.

Organizer Stefania Barron says about 400 people participated in the race in 2018.

Warren, Michigan native Matt Fecht has won the race five times.

Camlachie's Aaron Cooper broke Fecht's four race winning streak by capturing last year's race in 31 minutes and 35 seconds.
