Police seize more drugs related to traffic stop

Sarnia police say they've recovered more drugs related to a traffic stop on May 16.

During the stop, police seized 3.72 grams of purple fentanyl powder and 4.43 grams of methamphetamine with a total street value of $4,321.

On Thursday, police recovered another 33.9 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $16,950, 9.68 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $968, and one 75 micro-grams fentanyl patch with a street value of $650 from the vehicle.

The street value of the recovered drugs from Thursday is $18,568. The total value of the drugs recovered is $22,889.

Curtis Edward McBean, 30, of Sarnia is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with his recognizance.

The passenger, Norman Leroy Jackson, 43, of Forest faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both men remain in custody.
