Career Exploration Day at Lambton College

The first ever P.A.I.R.S Career Exploration Event is being held Wednesday, May 8 at Lambton College.

Organizer Erin Hogan said over 2,000 grade 10 students from across Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent will be bused to the event, to learn more about local employment opportunities.

Hogan said the second portion of the career-focused day will be open to the public, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"So if anyone would like to come just because of curiosity or maybe they're thinking about a second career or change of careers, absolutely they would be welcome to come," said Hogan. "We have folks that have come from the technology group, trades, business, health services, agriculture and community services so it's quite a varied range."

There's also a number of information sessions ranging from how to leverage your high school experience to pursuing a skilled trade.
