UPDATE: Preliminary hearing confirmed in Warwick murder case

A preliminary hearing in the case of a Lambton County woman, charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man in the village of Warwick, is set for next month.

Tina George, 35, was arrested in late April of last year following the death of 29-year-old Jesse Storr.

George's legal counsel, Richard Braiden of London, appeared on her behalf in the Ontario Court of Justice Tuesday morning.

Preliminary hearing dates were confirmed for June 26 to 28 at Sarnia courthouse.

A preliminary hearing determines whether there's sufficient evidence for the matter to proceed to trial.

George was granted bail last May.

Storr, a father of three, was found in a home on Egremont Road at around 2:30 p.m. April 29, 2018 after OPP had responded to a report of an injured man.

He was treated by paramedics and later died of his injuries.
