Florida man charged with stunt driving in Lambton

A  Florida man has become the third driver, in just two days, to be charged with stunt driving in Lambton County.

On Saturday at around 8:20 p.m., a vehicle travelling north on Highway 40 was clocked travelling in excess of 50 kilometres per hour over the posted 80 kilometres per hour speed limit.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the 58-year-old male driver from Tampa had previously been suspended from driving in Ontario for not paying a traffic ticket.

The man was charged with racing a motor vehicle, and driving under a licence from another jurisdiction while suspended in Ontario.

His vehicle was seized for seven days and he, along with two passengers, were taken into Sarnia to make arrangements for transportation.

The driver has a court date in Sarnia on  June 13, 2019.

Within two hours Friday night, Lambton OPP also charged two men with stunt driving in Plympton-Wyoming.
