Day two Salmon Derby results

Improved weather conditions on day two of the 43rd Annual Salmon Derby allowed anglers to get out on Lake Huron and the weigh stations were busy.

There were 92 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 141 fish entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a daily total of 233 fish.

The two day Salmon Derby total is 311 fish.

There are new leaders in all fish categories. The unofficial second day Salmon Derby leaders are..

Robert Brunet of Sarnia in the Salmon category with a 19.01 lb. Salmon.

Paul Vallee of Bright’s Grove in the Trout - Boat category with a 5.28 lb. Rainbow Trout.

Sara Lapish of Sarnia in the Trout - Shore category with a 7.06 lb. Rainbow Trout.

Ryan Henry of Kettle Point in the Lake Trout category with a 18.18 lb. Lake Trout.

Tammy Milne of Lambton Shores in the Walleye category with a 7.56 lb. Walleye.

The Ladies Day winner is Lisa Tadgell of Port Franks with a 14.92 lb. Lake Trout. Lisa wins the $250 cash prize donated by "Jacobs".

Nathan Bishop of Oil Springs is the Kids Big Fish leader with a 11.18 lb. Lake Trout.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Robert Brunet of Sarnia with a 19.01 lb. Salmon. The Daily Draw Prize winners are Wes Hillier of Strathroy at the Port Franks weigh station and James Waybrant of Courtright at the Sarnia weigh station.
