Citizens, companies recognized for 'going green'

The winners of Sarnia's Go Green Awards for 2019 have been announced.

Great Lakes Refill Co. is the winner in the Business Stewardship category for small business, while GFIVE Inc. takes the award for medium to large business.

Joe Hill has been named the 2019 Eco-Warrier, Green Drinks Sarnia wins for Community Stewardship, and Ms. Lemieux's Grade 3/4 class at High Park Public School has been declared Sarnia's Greenest Classroom.

The fourth annual Go Green Awards will be presented to the winners at Sarnia City Council's meeting May 6.

The awards were introduced by the Sarnia Environmental Advisory Committee to promote environmental stewardship and to recognize and celebrate individuals and groups that help improve the environment within the city.
