Pathway's looking for new executive director

After 20 years with Pathway's Health Centre for Children, Jenny Greensmith is retiring.

Greensmith has served as Executive Director with the agency since 2004. She joined Pathway's in 1999 as coordinator of speech pathology services.

She feels she's leaving the organization and the staff in a good place to move forward, with the fundraising campaign to rebuild the therapeutic pool well underway.

"As I kind of reflect on where we've gone in the last 15 years that I had the opportunity to lead the organization, it's been about a lot more than the pool," said Greensmith. "But knowing that we're moving forward to refurbish the therapeutic pool so that it can serve this community for another 25 to 30 years is pretty high on my agenda as well."

Pathway's board of directors has started the process to look for Greensmith's replacement.

"I have absolute faith in the board to make the very best decision for Pathway's, for the community relationships that we have and also for the potential skill set that's going to be required as we move into a somewhat different environment," said Greensmith.

Her last day is September 30.

Greensmith said she plans to spend more time with her family and will continue her work with the Bluewater Health board.
