A Sarnia doctor charged in an alleged sexual assault dating back to 1982, is to appear in court next month for the setting of a trial date.
Legal counsel for Dr. Kunwar Raj Singh, 76, appeared on his behalf in the Ontario Court of Justice Tuesday and the matter was put over to April 9.
Dr. Singh is charged with one count of indecent assault on a female following an investigation by city police that began in October.
It's alleged the assault occurred at a doctor's office during an assessment and involved a 15-year-old who is now 51.
Singh was arrested and charged in December.
