Meanwhile, Sault St. Marie hasn't lost in regulation in five games. They're second place with 81 points, four back of the conference-leading London Knights.

Brayden Guy was injured Monday and did not play for the Sting Tuesday, and Jaimeson Rees sat out as he awaits word from the Ontario Hockey League on disciplinary action after his blindside hit on a Saginaw player in the Family Day game.

The Sting's next game is on Friday night at home to Theo Calvas and the North Bay Batallion on CHOK.
