ATV driver facing weapons, drug charges

Lambton OPP officers have seized a loaded handgun and methamphetamine after an ATV was stopped in Dawn-Euphemia Sunday evening.

Police stopped the vehicle at around 9:45 p.m. on Pantry School Road.

They allege the man was driving while prohibited and he was arrested.

After a search, police said they seized a loaded 22 calibre handgun, a replica handgun, and suspected methamphetamine.

A 48-year-old Dawn-Euphemia man is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court April 3 on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, drug possession, and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.
