Sting lose to Windsor in first of home and home

The Sarnia Sting fell 3-1 to the Spitfires in Windsor Thursday night in the first of back to back match-ups between the two teams.

Calvin Martin scored his 12th goal of the season for the Sting. Alex Hogue and Colton Kammerer dished out assists.

Chris Playfair, Nathan Staios, and Cole Purboo scored for the Spitfires.

Sting goalie Cameron Lamour turned aside 18 of 21 shots faced, while Colton Incze made 17 saves on 18 shots in the Windsor net.

The Sting went scoreless on four powerplay chances and killed off all three penalties against.

Sarnia has 53 points on the season, good for seventh place in the OHL's Western Conference. The Spitfires are in eighth place, just three points back.

The two teams meet again Friday night at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
