Good response to city's post-election survey

There was a strong response to the City of Sarnia's survey about online and telephone voting in last October's municipal election.

Deputy Clerk James Jenkins is pleased with the response.

"We had over 1,200 surveys submitted," said Jenkins. "We try to reach at least 900 surveys. That's our target for statistically significant samples. So, we're happy with that result."

Jenkins says they're analyzing the surveys now and will include the results in a report for council's February 11 regular meeting.

The data will be used to help council decide a voting method for the next municipal election in 2022.
