Hot start to Dream Home ticket sales

The Bluewater Health Foundation is hoping for a sellout this year.

Executive Director Kathy Alexander said tickets for this year's Dream Home Lottery are already about 40 per cent sold.

She said over 4,000 people have already toured the two-storey grand prize home at 444 Lucas Ave.

Money raised from the lottery will go towards the purchase of two new mammography machines for the hospital.

"Everyone in this community I think knows the tremendous impact that Dream Home has on Bluewater Health," said Alexander. "It's a very community-driven lottery and we know that every gift makes a difference and someone will win a Dream Home, but at the end of the day, the hospital is the winner when it comes to being able to purchase new equipment for Sarnia-Lambton."

Tickets are available for $100 and can be purchased at the Dream Home as well as the foundation office, area banks and credit unions and Shoppers Drug Mart stores.

The draw for the grand prize home, valued at nearly $600,000, is March 1, 2019 at Bluewater Health.
