A reminder to watch where you're parking while you're out shopping this holiday season.
Sarnia police Cst. Nelson Amaral said about 65 motorists got an unwanted present on their windshield over the weekend for a number of reasons.
"Some of the bylaw infractions included parking facing the wrong way, parking on the sidewalk, parking overnight from 2:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., and one of the newest offenses of parking in a bicycle lane, which carries a $30 fine," he said.
Police also issued a couple of $300 fines for vehicles illegally parked in accessible zones.
Sarnia officers attended a total of 229 calls for service over the weekend, including five motor vehicle crashes, six thefts and 15 unwanted persons.
