Local businessman restocks church freezer following theft

A Sarnia business is giving back to help out a local church.

Thieves took about $1,000 worth of meat and food from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in November.

Owner of Davy Jones Quality Meats Kyle Deloof took it upon himself to restock the freezer.

"I read the story online and it's just terrible to read something like that. There's so many people that are in need out there and it just takes the food right out of their mouth," he said. "So I thought, I've been in business for a little over five years now, and this is something that I can help out with and start giving back to the community."

The meat is for dinners at the Inn of the Good Shepherd soup kitchen, and The Hub over the next several months.
