Little Sting fan displays big heart (GALLERY)

Teddy bears will be raining down from the stands at the Sarnia Sting game Saturday afternoon, and one of the team's littlest fans will be doing her part to help.

Three-year-old Darrah Coleman used her birthday money this year to purchase eight stuffed animals to throw onto the ice.

Her grandmother, Sue Bacon, said Darrah wanted to make sure kids in need will have a Christmas present under their tree.

"For her birthday this past weekend, instead of presents, her family and little friends put $5 in a card for Darrah to donate to a charity," said Bacon. "Last year she chose The Animal Farm, and this year she chose the Teddy Bear Toss all by herself. She is a huge little Sting fan and she attends as many games as she can."

It will be Darrah's fourth Teddy Bear Toss game. Once the Sting scores their first goal, she'll be throwing her stuffed animals onto the ice from her seats in section 123 alongside her parents.

Puckdrop for the 21st local Teddy Bear Toss is set for 2:05 p.m. Saturday between the Sting and Frontenacs.
