Hundreds of Nativity scenes on display

Over 300 Nativity scenes will be on display inside First Christian Reformed Church at Exmouth Street and Murphy Road Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8.

Team member Linda Weering said the manger scenes come from around the world.

"We have some that are from Egypt, which are very different," said Weering. "We have scenes from the Caribbean, Mexico, and Guatemala. People have brought them from Kenya, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, all different countries from Africa. And of course, we have Nativity scenes from Bethlehem, made out of olive trees. It really is something to see."

All of the scenes are lent to the church by their owners.

The displays will be set up Friday from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Music and refreshments will be offered.

There is no admission fee, although donations will be accepted for Sarnia-Lambton Rebound.
