Sting win at the Aud

Sevens have been wild of late for the Sarnia Sting.

After a seven-game winless streak, they have now won two in a row, scoring seven times in each game.

Adam Ruzicka (2 G 1 A), Anthony Salinitri (1 G 2 A), and Sean Josling (3 A) all had three-point nights as the Sting scored five times in the second period en route to a 7-4 win over the Rangers at the Aud in Kitchener Tuesday night.

Franco Sproviero chipped in with two goals with the other markers going to Brayden Guy and Hugo Leufvenius with his team-leading 13th of the season.

Ruzicka ended an 18 game goalless drought dating back to September 29, recording his fourth and fifth goals of the season, but he does have 22 points in 22 games.

Goaltender Aidan Hughes made 32 saves for his second straight win, after having backstopped the team to a 7-3 win on home ice over Peterborough Saturday.

The Sting outshot the Rangers 37-36.

Sarnia (9-10-2-2) heads east this weekend for games in Kingston, Ottawa, and Oshawa Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
