Sarnia's Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers finished in fourth place following the pairs long program Saturday at the NHK Trophy Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Hiroshima, Japan.
The duo was less than a point shy of reaching the podium.
Alexander Enbert and Natalia Zabiiako from Russia won gold.
China's Yang Jin and Cheng Peng were the silver medalists followed by Americans' Chris Knierim and Alexa Scimeca.
