There were plenty of smiles to go around during a recent fundraising campaign for St. Joseph's Hospice.
Sales from the 'Smile Cookies' at Tim Hortons' restaurants in Sarnia and Bright's Grove raised $31,353 for the non-profit organization.
Spokesperson Maria Muscedere said the week-long fundraiser was a huge success for the residential hospice.
"It's going to help with our operational costs," said Muscedere. "Each year, St. Joseph's Hospice needs to raise $1.6 million to support the funding need, so that will go towards the amount we need to fundraise each year."
She said it was more than a donation.
"Tim Hortons' Sarnia owners and Bright's Grove owners have supported the hospice since the moment we opened our doors," said Muscedere. "This is a commitment to the future of hospice and palliative care in our community and I want to say thank you."
Nationally, the Tim Hortons' cookie campaign raised a record $ 7.8 million for over 500 charities and community programs.
