Plympton-Wyoming halts mail as postal disruption looms

As of Friday, September 21, the Town of Plympton-Wyoming is not sending outgoing mail until it's clear that the threat of a postal disruption has ended.

A notice from the town said all departments will establish a pickup/drop-off service, wherever possible.

An external courier service will be used for any important items.

Election packages and tax bills have already been sent. Residents are asked to contact the municipal office if their election material or tax bill aren't received before a service disruption.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers and Canada Post were continuing to negotiate with a midnight September 25 strike/lockout deadline looming.
