A popular food truck at Sarnia's Canatara Park was targeted by thieves.
Owner Marc Piquette says the Mad Taco truck was damaged sometime between 11pm Monday and early Tuesday morning.
"A good Samaritan called the city who called one of my business partners yesterday morning," says Piquette. "We both went over there and noticed it looked like they pried the service window open, broke one of the locks and had the cash register halfway out. Luckily we don't leave any money on the truck. So they really didn't get much, they just more damage than anything."
Piquette says damage was about $1,000, not including the loss of sales from staying closed Tuesday.
The truck has reopened for business after repairs to the service window were made, locks changed and a new cash register put in place.
