Vehicle Charging Stations Being Installed Across Lambton

There will be 14 electric vehicle charging stations installed at nine locations across Lambton County.

County council approved the project on Wednesday.

80% of the $157,000 project, or $103,800, is being funded through an Ontario Ministry of Transportation grant.

Two charging stations will be installed at the Lambton Public Health office in Point Edward, the county administration building in Wyoming, Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia and the North Lambton Lodge in Forest.

One charging station will be installed at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, the Oil Museum of Canada in Oil Springs, the Lambton Heritage Museum in Lambton Shores and the public works depots in Oil Springs and Petrolia.

The stations, which could be installed before the end of the year, will be available to the public and activated by credit cards to pay for the charge.
