Two Charged In Significant Pot Bust

A Sarnia police investigation into the trafficking of large quantities of marijuana led to the arrest of two city men Tuesday night.

Vice branch officers stopped a suspect vehicle at about 11:30pm and seized 2.5 lbs of marijuana with a street value of nearly $12,000.

Police say they also seized close to $1,700 in cash from the vehicle.

Two men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They were being held pending bail hearings.
