Renovated Keelan's Plaza Attracting Medical Professionals

It's hoped a building being renovated near Sarnia's downtown core will attract more doctors to the area.

Developer Lou Longo says they've finished interior work at the former Keelan's Plaza, at Christina St. and Maxwell St.

A dermatologist, a cardio rehab facility, a family health team and a pharmacy already have or will be setting up shop.

Longo says they're working now to fill the remaining suites.

"We've determined that there's a shortage of good medical space for doctors and allied users so we've been targeting those type of clients," he says. "We still have another six suites available for additional doctors and we would welcome any inquiries from any potential physicians as well."

Longo says the building is in a convenient location close to the hospital and on a bus route.

Phase two of the $1.5-million development, which includes upgrades to the exterior facade, is now underway with completion expected by spring or early summer.
