UPDATE: Vehicles Spin Out On Icy 402

Ontario Provincial Police had to deal with several ditched vehicles and collisions along Hwy. 402 Friday morning.

A transport entered the ditch near Sexton Rd. closing the westbound lanes for a few hours.

Crashes were reported as well near Kerwood Rd.

OPP say a tractor trailer swerved to avoid a collision near Colonel Talbot Rd. near London and jackknifed in the centre median.

West Region OPP Sergeant Dave Rektor says it's the same old story. Drivers failing to slow down and suddenly hitting ice.

"The roads were definitely icy but we can't change the weather, the only thing we can change really are our driving behaviours and if the roads are that icy you have to drive ten times slower than what these people were doing," says Rektor.

Sergeant Rektor says minor injuries were reported in just one of the collisions.

By 11am Friday, there were no reported closures along the 402.
