Power has been restored to thousands of Sarnia residents who were left in the dark Thursday evening.
Bluewater Power reported just before 7pm that over 2,300 hydro customers were without power in the downtown area after a large tree branch knocked down a power line. That outage was fully resolved just before 9pm.
Not long after at around 10:20pm, another 3,000 customers experienced an outage in the Sherwood area and beyond.
Power was fully restored to residents just before midnight.
