A Dawn-Euphemia man, wanted on various charges including assaulting police, has been arrested.
Lambton OPP say 28-year-old Richard Chadwick McGuire was taken into custody on outstanding warrants just before midnight Saturday.
McGuire is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight while pursued by police, assaulting and resisting a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, driving while disqualified, two counts of mischief under $5,000, and three counts of failing to comply with conditions.
Some of the charges stem from a July 15 incident in Dawn-Euphemia.
At the time, Lambton OPP officers were called just before 3pm about a 2000 Chev Silverado pickup truck, which appeared to be in disrepair, and was being driven erratically.
Police said the red truck was missing a driver-side door and side mirrors and had a smashed rear window. It was observed in the Langbank Line, Cuthbert Rd. and Robinson Rd. area towing a flatbed trailer with a large bulldozer track.
Police say the vehicle entered several agricultural fields when they tried to stop it.
Officers were able to recover the trailer and bulldozer track a short time later, but the driver and pick-up were not located at the time.
McGuire remains in police custody.
