Arrest Warrants Issued For Couple After Fake Prescription Note Submitted

Arrest warrants have been issued for a London couple, accused of submitting a fraudulent prescription note for narcotics.

Lambton OPP Constable Chris Doupe says an investigation was launched in October after a man and woman allegedly tried to acquire drugs unlawfully in the county.

"On October 27 of this year, members of Lambton OPP attended the pharmacy located in Petrolia in relation to a couple that had attempted to pass a fraudulent prescription," says Doupe.

He says employees quickly determined the script was a fake and contacted police.

"Through a rather complicated investigation, our property crimes unit and street crimes unit took over the investigation and as a result, there are warrants out for both parties," says Doupe.

Doupe says investigators believe the couple tried to pull off similar stunts in other areas.

"We do have information that they may have attended other pharmacies, not necessarily within the County of Lambton, but other jurisdictions surrounding and not just including the London, Ontario area," says Doupe.

Isaiah Jolin, 21, and Ashley Nickason, 30, are both wanted for trafficking in a narcotic.

Nickason is wanted on an additional charge of fraud under $5,000.

Anyone with information on the incident(s) or location of the individuals is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
