Two women from Manitoulin Island face drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Durand St. in Sarnia.
Police say a routine check determined the owner's license was suspended.
Officers noticed suspected drug paraphernalia on the passenger side floor and two syringes containing what is believed to be Dilaudid.
The 39-year-old passenger is charged with possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognizance.
The driver, a 41-year-old woman, is charged with possession, breach of recognizance and driving while suspended.
After bail hearings the two were released and are to appear again in Sarnia court in January.
