Sarnia-Lambton Digging Out

The cleanup continues Thursday after about 15 cm (6 inches) of snow fell in Sarnia.

A low pressure system dumped up to 15 cm (6 inch) of snow in the city, more in some parts of the county after off-lake snow squalls set up in the wake of the storm.

Environment Canada has ended a snow squall warning for north and east Lambton, the warning for Sarnia and west Lambton ended earlier Thursday morning.

School buses in all Lambton-Kent zones were cancelled due to the weather.

City Superintendent of Roads Tony D'Agostini says ploughing and salting operations will continue through the day and overnight hours.

Motorists are reminded not to park vehicles on the street night or day until the snow is cleared.
