Minimum Wage Workshops

Workshops related to the increase in minimum wage are hoping to help local restaurant owners, managers and operators.

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton has partnered with the Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation to help businesses deal with the potential impacts of Bill 148 and to develop strategies to adjust to the change.

The workshops, which will be held on Wednesday in Forest and Petrolia, will help them understand the legislation and some of the ramifications, says Business Development Corp. GM Don Anderson.

"By the end of the seminars, we want to work with those in attendance to help them maintain their customer experience as well as maintain their bottom-line," says Anderson.

The workshops will be facilitated by Mike Desantis, a certified training and development professional who has been involved in the industry for the past 35 years.
